Murray Family Farms runs its Bakersfield Pumpkin Patch at the Big Red Barn on General Beale Road, open every day in October. The patch has more than 50,000 pumpkins, and every paid admission comes with a free pumpkin to take home.
What time is it open?
Monday through Thursday from 2 PM to 9 PM, and Friday through Sunday from 1 PM to 10 PM.
What does a ticket include?
A sunflower maze, a corn maze that is a little spooky but fine for all ages, a tractor ride and farm tour, the animal garden and aviary, a big bounce pillow, super slides and a musical playground. Children age 1 and under get in free.
Is anything extra?
Yes. The Apple Blaster and the paintball gallery cost a small additional fee, and weekend tickets cost a bit more than weekday ones.
