Home / Organic Matters Ranch - 2026 Season Dates
Organic Matters Ranch on Myrtle Avenue in Eureka has grown its crops organically since 2002, and each fall it opens more than 11 acres of pumpkins and winter squash as a u-pick patch. The 2026 season opened on Saturday, September 26.
Does it cost anything to get in?
No, admission to the pumpkin patch is free. Pumpkins are sold by weight: jack-o'-lanterns are $0.80 a pound and jumbo pumpkins over 45 pounds are $0.65 a pound.
When can we go?
The ranch lists the patch as open every day through October 31, from 10 AM to 6 PM on weekends and noon to 6 PM on weekdays. Carts are provided and there is plenty of parking.
What else is there for kids?
There is a 2-acre sunflower maze, which costs $5 for anyone over 7, plus a hay playground, hay maze and hay pyramid. A mobile petting zoo with bunnies, ducks, chickens, goats and piggies visits on weekends.
Can we bring the dog?
No. Only approved service animals are allowed. The ranch takes cash and credit or debit cards.
