Julian Farm and Orchard is a 25-acre farm on Julian Highway, about an hour east of San Diego and three miles from downtown Julian. For 2026 it is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from September 4 through November 15, 10 AM to 4 PM.
Can we pick apples?
Only with an Apple Tour reservation. Other u-pick and add-ons are sold on site only and sell out early in the morning this time of year, so arrive at opening if picking is the goal.
What do kids do there?
The pumpkin patch, a petting zoo in the animal sanctuary, tractor-pulled hayrides and a haybale maze. Older kids may like the rock wall or apple cannon, which costs $12 for five apples and needs a signed waiver.
Do adults need tickets too?
Yes. Children under 16 must come with a paid adult, and adults pay to go along on general admission, the petting zoo and the hayride. Parking is always free.
Can we bring food?
Yes, your own food is welcome. There is also a food truck with burgers, corn dogs and fries, and the Bev Barn sells apple cider slushies, snow cones and whole pies.
