The Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo runs vintage trains on the historic San Diego and Arizona Railway with an all-volunteer crew. Its fall event, the Pumpkin Express, runs on just three days in 2026: October 24, 25 and 31.
What times do the trains leave?
Trains depart at 10:30 AM, 1 PM and 2:30 PM on each of the three days, all from the Campo Depot at 750 Depot Street.
Do we need tickets ahead of time?
Yes, it is best to buy in advance because the best seats sell out quickly. Online sales close 36 hours before departure, and only a limited number of tickets may be sold in person at the depot.
Which seats should we pick?
Coach seats are in restored 1920s commuter cars and are the most plentiful and lowest priced. First Class is in a Santa Fe lounge car, where riders can step out onto an open-air platform as the train rolls through the countryside.
