Mills Apple Farm on Pocahontas Road near Marine has grown apples since 1973 and makes its own cider and pies. It opened for the 2026 season on August 25 and stays open until noon on December 24, when it closes with Christmas trees.
What are the hours right now?
Tuesday through Friday 1 to 5 PM, Saturday 1 to 5 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM, closed Mondays. The farm says hours will change as more varieties ripen, so check before a weekday trip.
Is it free?
Yes. Admission, parking, the play area and the weekend wagon rides to the orchard are all free. You pay for the fruit, cider and baked goods.
What is there for kids?
A play area with the wire Kid Cage maze and swings, plus chickens, bunnies, goats, sheep, Porkchop the pig and a donkey named Beau.
Can we bring the dog?
