Schaefer Farms is a four-generation family farm on County Road 523 outside Flemington, with more than 40 acres of home-grown pumpkins. For 2026, hayrides to the pumpkin fields run on Wednesdays and on weekends through Sunday, November 1.
What does a weekend visit cost?
$18 a person by card or $15 in cash, and children under 8 and veterans ride free. That covers the hayride, the corn maze, the hay maze, feeding the farm animals and parking. Pumpkins are extra, at $0.89 a pound.
Is there a cheaper midweek option?
Yes. On Wednesdays from noon to 4 PM the hayride to the pumpkin fields is $7 a person, and children under 8 and veterans ride free if they buy a pumpkin. Weekend hayrides run 11 AM to 4 PM.
What else is there for the kids?
Corn cannons, a bounce pillow called Daisybelle the cow, the corn maze and hay maze, and friendly farm animals. The farm stand sells local apple cider, fresh baked pies and breads.
Is there anything for older kids after dark?
Yes. The farm also runs Farm Of Horrors, a nighttime haunted attraction whose 2026 opening weekend starts Friday, October 2. It is a separate event from the daytime pumpkin picking.
