Sunnyside Gardens is a garden center and plant nursery on Church Street in Saratoga Springs that turns into a free fall festival every autumn. The 2026 festival started on Saturday, September 26, and runs daily through Halloween.
Does it cost anything to get in?
No, admission is always free. You pay only for what you do: the hayride is $6 a person, the train ride $4 and the butterfly house $3.
When do the activities run?
The hayride, train ride, butterfly house and cider donuts are available every day from 10 AM to 4:45 PM. On weekends there is live bluegrass from noon to 4 PM.
What else is there to see?
The Hall-O-Flame display has more than 300 hand-carved jack-o-lanterns, and the hayride goes through the spooky woods. The pumpkins come from New York farms, with specialty varieties alongside the carving pumpkins.
Can we bring the dog or a picnic?
Please leave pets at home, for the safety of visitors and the greenhouse cats. Outside food is not allowed, but the concession stand sells cider donuts, pastries, brownies, turnovers, hot dogs and popcorn.
