Dressel Farms on State Route 208 in New Paltz is a large apple farm run by three generations of the Dressel family, with more than 20 varieties on over 300 acres. For 2026, u-pick apples run on weekends through Sunday, November 1.
When can we pick?
Apple picking is weekends only, 10 AM to 4 PM. Pumpkin picking is open every day in October, 9 AM to 5 PM, so a weekday visit can still include the patch.
Can the dog come along?
No. Pets are not allowed in the fields or orchards.
What should we take home?
The farm presses its own cider on an antique rack-and-cloth press, from its own apples with nothing added, and presses fresh every week. In the fall the farmstand also has pears, pumpkins, squash, gourds and chestnuts.
