Greig Farm on Pitcher Lane in Red Hook has been open for pick-your-own since 1942. For 2026, apple picking opened September 3 and pumpkin picking September 13, and both run through October.
How do the hayrides work?
Scenic hayrides run every Saturday and Sunday in September and October, noon to 4 PM. Buy a $10 wristband in the Market for unlimited rides that day. Kids under 16 and seniors ride free with a banded adult, riders get a free donut in the Market, and the wagons do not stop in the picking fields.
Is there anything special coming up?
ApplePalooza runs Sunday, October 4, from 11 AM to 5 PM, with scenic hayrides, the Cafe and Market, and a food truck.
Can kids see the animals?
Yes. A family of Pygmy goats lives behind the Farm Market, and kids can feed them. The cafe, open Tuesday through Thursday, serves lunch and apple cider donuts.
