About Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard

Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard on Hardscrabble Road in North Salem holds its Fall Festival on weekends from September 12 through November 1. The day covers apple picking in its hillside orchard, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, live country music and a play zone.

Do we need tickets in advance?

Yes. Most festival days sell out ahead of time, gate tickets are rarely available, and tickets are non-refundable. Entry times run 9 AM to 2 PM, and the festival closes at 5 PM.

How much are apple bags?

Bags cost extra: $15 for a quarter peck, about 3 pounds; $25 for a peck, about 12 pounds; and $40 for a half bushel, about 25 pounds. Apple picking is only during the weekend festival, not during the week.

Can we visit on a weekday instead?

Yes. Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, the farm store, farm animals, pumpkin patch, Hardscrabble Cider and cafe are open with no festival ticket. On festival weekends the farm store and taproom are open only to ticket holders.

What should we leave at home?

Pets, outside food and drink, and large bags or backpacks in the orchard. The orchard and apple picking are not handicap accessible, and the parking areas cannot fit large buses or vans.
