“WEEKEND PUMPKIN PICKING in our fields... starts Sept 19/20!”
soonsorchards.com, read September 19, 2026
Soons Orchards on Soons Circle in New Hampton is a family farm market between Middletown and Goshen. Its pick-your-own pumpkin weekends began September 19 and run Saturdays, Sundays and Columbus Day through Halloween.
How does pumpkin picking work?
A real hay wagon takes you out to the pumpkin fields, and wagon tickets are required. Wagons run on weekends from about 10:30 AM to 4 PM, depending on weather and demand, and online reservations are not needed.
What if we would rather not pick?
The market has plenty of already-picked pumpkins, squash, gourds, corn stalks and mums. It is open every day from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Any tips for the wagon ride?
Some of the wagons are working hay wagons, so watch your step getting on and off. Leave glass bottles and anything fragile behind.
