Schmitts on Bagatelle in Dix Hills is a small, family-run pumpkin picking farm with an old-school feel, farmed by the Schmitt family since 1853. Fall Fun started September 19 and runs into early November, open 7 days a week, rain or shine.
How much does it cost to get in?
Admission is $10 and includes a free hayride ticket and the whole farm, with the pumpkin patch, the giant Pumpkin House and duck races. Parking is free, and tickets are sold at the door only.
What are the hours?
Monday through Thursday noon to 5 PM, and Friday through Sunday 10 AM to 6 PM. The pumpkin patch closes 30 minutes before the farm, and it is open Columbus Day.
What is there to eat?
Pies, candy apples, apple cider donuts, roasted corn and fresh apple cider. Weekdays have a smaller food selection, so plan a weekend visit if treats are a big part of the trip.
