Stoney Creek Farm on Stratton Road in West Salem is a family farm that has grown pumpkins and made maple syrup since 1986. It is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to dusk until the end of October for hayrides to the pumpkin patch.
How much does it cost?
There is a $3 minimum purchase per person, which includes a hayride to the pumpkin patch and the straw maze and meadow maze. You get a ticket that counts toward pumpkins or farm products.
What is the hayride like?
It starts at a 100-year-old barn, winds down into the valley past the sugar house and through the woods to the back fields, where there are thousands of pumpkins to choose from. Some of the giants weigh over 100 pounds.
Can we eat there?
Yes. For one dollar you can roast a hot dog or a s'more over the fire, which burns all season.
Can we bring the dog?
No, pets are not allowed. Children must be supervised in the straw maze and should not climb on it.
