About Meadowbrooke Gourds
Meadowbrooke Gourds is a 200-acre gourd farm in Carlisle where the gourds are grown and crafted into decorations sold in its gift shop. From September into early October it opens about 50 acres of sunflower fields for free picking.
Is sunflower picking really free?
Yes. You can walk the sunflower fields, take photos and pick sunflowers for free.
When is the gift shop open?
Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday noon to 4 PM. The shop is filled with gourd designs for every season, plus artisan crafts and specialty foods.
Can we see how the gourds are made?
Yes. A free tour of the gourd crafting areas runs every Tuesday at 2 PM, and no reservation is needed.
