Kapnick Orchards on North Rogers Highway near Tecumseh has been selling from its farm market since 1961 and is open all year. Its main apple picking season opened on Saturday, September 5, and u-pick pumpkins opened in late September.
What are the fall hours?
Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Pick-your-own apples are open seven days a week.
When is the Apple Festival?
The 47th Annual Apple Festival is Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, held the same days as Tecumseh's Appleumpkin Festival. Expect picking, wagon rides through the orchard, cider and donuts.
What else will the kids enjoy?
Wagon rides through the farm's Enchanted Forest, and farm animals they can visit, pet and feed.
Is the cider pasteurized?
The farm presses its own unpasteurized cider, and also sells cider treated with UV light as an alternative. Fry-cake donuts are made fresh daily.
