Crane Orchards on 124th Avenue near Fennville is a u-pick orchard farmed by six generations of the Crane family. Fall apples are in, and the pumpkin patch, hayrides and cow train opened for the season on Saturday, September 19.
What are the hours?
Open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, weather permitting, until the end of apple season, which is usually close to the end of October. Hayrides and the cow train run Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 PM, as long as it is not raining.
How much do things cost?
Apples are $1.80 a pound and pumpkins are 50 cents a pound. The corn maze is $8 for ages 11 and up, $5 for ages 6 to 10 and free for 5 and under. Hayrides are $5 a person and the cow train is $3 a child. Cards carry a 3% fee.
Can we bring the dog or a stroller wagon?
Dogs are not allowed in the orchard, pumpkin patch or corn maze. The farm has wagons for fruit, but asks you to bring your own if you need one for a child.
How do we check before we go?
Call (269) 561-8651 on the day you plan to visit, especially if the weather looks questionable, since the farm closes for rain.
