About Fairfield Farms and Greenhouses

Fairfield Farms and Greenhouses on Big Piece Road has been family-run for almost 100 years and is the last farm tract left in Fairfield. Its 2026 fall festival runs every day through Saturday, October 31.

What do kids do here?

Pick a pumpkin, walk the child-friendly corn maze, climb Big Bale Mountain, try the rope maze and the rolling tube ride, and visit the goat family. The pumpkin slingshot lets them win a pumpkin by hitting a target.

When are the activities open?

On weekdays the farm store opens at 10 AM and the festival activities run 1 to 6 PM, with hayrides from 1 to 5:30 PM. On weekends and Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, it is open 10 AM to 6 PM.

Is the haunted hayride OK for young kids?

The Haunted Forest Hayride runs on weekends only, from 6:30 PM with the last ride at 8:45 PM, and costs $15. Tickets must be bought in advance, and parental discretion is advised for children under 10.

Is there food and cider?

Yes. The farm sells snacks, fresh Jersey apples, cider and hot mulled cider, along with mums, cornstalks, gourds and pumpkins.
