White Post Farms on Old Country Road in Melville is a large animal farm that holds a Fall Farm Festival on weekends, now in its 31st year. In 2026 the festival runs on weekends and Columbus Day through Sunday, October 25.
Which days are left this fall?
October 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 24 and 25. On those days the gates open at 9:30 AM and close to new guests at 4 PM, and you can stay until 6 PM.
What does admission include?
Sing-along hayrides through the cornfields as often as you like, plus the Animal Farm, with two free-flight bird aviaries, a primate barn and giraffes. Animal feed, pony rides and train rides cost extra, and pumpkins from the field are priced by the pound.
How do we pay, and what if it rains?
At the admission booth it is cash only; credit cards work only for tickets bought online. Tickets are non-refundable, but if rain cancels your day they are good for any festival weekend through October 25, 2026.
Is there food?
Yes. The festival food stands sell hot dogs, chicken fingers, tacos, pizza, roasted corn, fried Oreos and freshly baked pies.
