Pine-O-Mine Ranch is a third-generation family farm on Carson Road in Apple Hill, Placerville. Its pumpkin patch opens the last weekend of September and runs through Halloween.
Does it cost anything to get in?
No. Admission and parking are free. Pumpkins are priced one by one and usually run $12 to $25 depending on size, and tractor rides and food cost extra.
Can we still pick apples?
U-pick apples have closed for the season, but bags of apples are sold in the barn.
Can we bring the dog and the stroller?
Yes to both. Dogs are welcome and strollers work across the property. Outside food and drink are not allowed, but the barn sells food, warm apple cider, caramel apples and baked goods.
When is the best time to go?
Weekday hours are 10 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 9 AM to 6 PM. Weekend afternoons get busy, so come early. The petting zoo with Highland cows and goats is open weekends, and there is live music every Saturday and Sunday.
